Ruahine Kindergartens

Welcome to Milverton Kindergarten

Welcome to Milverton Kindergarten where children are empowered to become lifelong learners.

At Milverton we build authentic, collaborative relationships within our kindergarten community. We foster children’s social skills to promote peer tutoring, communication, respect, consideration, sharing and cooperation. We celebrate  individuality and value prior learning and experience, while promoting opportunities for children to be creative and imaginative problem-solvers. Family participation in kindergarten sessions, fundraising initiatives and fun events is encouraged and we celebrate Te Tiriti o Waitangi in the way we value our bi-cultural heritage and our commitment and loyalty to one another.

Music, art, drama and creativity feature strongly in our programme which evolves as children’s interests change. Maths, literacy and science activities are experienced in meaningful and interesting ways. Every child has a portfolio with photographs and stories about their learning, excursions and kindergarten visitors and parents can view these at any time.

We look forward to meeting you and your child and embracing your contribution to our learning community.
