About Angela

Hi I'm Angela. I'm married to Adrian and we have 2 sons, Ryan and Nathan who are both at school.

I've been a Home-Based educator for 3 years now; prior to that I worked as a nurse at Auckland Hospital before leaving to focus on my family.

I've always enjoyed young children and I love being a mum which is why I decided to become a Home-Based care provider.

Being Home-Based, we are out and about in the community most mornings attending activities, visiting the library, parks, shopping, and other places of interest (windfarm, airport). At home I have a variety of toys to play with, art activities and sometimes we bake.

With a low ratio I'm able to follow interests that each child has and support them as they discover the world around them.

I'm very fortunate to have a fantastic support network with other Educators and children that we regularly socialise and enjoy outings with (Nest Group). Some great friendships have been formed within our nest!

Most importantly, the children I care for become a part of our family too. This is important for me as I aim to provide a home away from home so children feel happy, safe and secure.

I can provide care Monday to Friday, excluding Wednesday’s – if this fits your care needs, please enquire with Ruahine Home-Based.

What Our Whānau Say

Our 2.5year old daughter has been in care with Ange since she was six months old. From our first meeting with Ange we immediately could tell that she loves what she does and treats the children in her care with warmth and respect. She has a very calm and patient persona which has translated to our daughter, who I’m sure would not have thrived in the way she has in a more busy/noisy environment.  Ange has always been extremely respectful of our parenting-style, values and routines, implementing any changes we needed as Quinn developed. We love that Quinn is always so excited to be dropped off with Ange each day and she comes home full of enthusiasm about the fun activities and/or new resources she’d experienced that day. Choosing childcare was a very nerve racking time for us in the beginning, so we are extremely grateful to Ange for making our decision to put Quinn into childcare so reassuring and easy!
