Ruahine Kindergartens

Ruahine Home-Based - a high quality child care option for children from birth to school age

About Us

Our educators provide warm, caring home environments where your child can flourish. Educators develop close one on one relationships where your child's individuality is nurtured. Our ratios are kept low with a maximum of four children to one educator. This ensures individual care and attention is given. Safety is paramount so all homes are regularly checked by Visiting Teachers, educators have first aid training and all adults in the home are regularly police checked. Ruahine Home-Based provide educators with high levels of support and on going training.

We are able to provide full and part time options and you can combine kindergarten and home-based child care. Many of our educators offer kindergarten drop off and pick up services. WINZ subsidies and 20 hours ECE are available.

Our Programme

We provide a stimulating and fun programme designed to foster children's learning. We utilise Te Whāriki the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum. Our programme includes regular gymnastic classes, playgroups, music and movement sessions, nature exploration and excursions at no extra charge. These are all undertaken with your child's educator, the person they trust, alongside and are planned by a qualified early childhood teacher.

Vacancies

Due to high demand, we are currently looking for more educators. If you are passionate about providing a nurturing, supportive home environment and feel you have the skills we are looking for, please get in touch.
