Ruahine Kindergartens

Polar Express

West End Kindergarten

Christmas came early to the children of West End Kindergarten, with their  Polar Express float placing second in the education section of Palmerston North’s Christmas Parade.

A strong focus on sustainability within the kindergarten was reflected in their display. Stars and fairy wands were decorated and attached to 1000 iceblock sticks by the kindergarten's parent committee. Given out during the parade, the magical gifts were a talking point for many.

Further decorations were made from donated silver paper, re-dyed bunting, and recycled doilies. Kairanga Lions helped the kindergarten put the float together, which also included Ruahine Kindergarten Association banners.

The kindergarten teachers, children, and their parents thoroughly enjoyed their magical polar express Christmas experience and wish everyone an enjoyable festive season.
