One of Bulls Kindergarten’s Enviro schools initiatives is our involvement in the Paper for Trees programme. Through this we are rewarded for our paper recycling with trees and plants that we can plant in our kindergarten grounds. As kaitiaki of our environment, we are responsible for making sure that we use resources in ways that are sustainable, and planting trees to replace the paper we use is a way we can do this. Recently we received our latest Paper for Trees plants, which our children enjoyed planting. These are now enhancing the landscaping around our slide, and growing to provide shade near the lazy river. We are grateful to our kindergarten whānau for participating by taking our recycling for us, helping to make this possible.
