Cloverlea Kindergarten recently got behind the Kind Hearts Movement by organising some baking for the Children’s Ward at Palmerston North Hospital.
Over two-dozen homemade banana muffins were made and helped showcase how a little manaakitanga goes a long way.
“Kind Hearts is just one of the ways we connect with our community and is something we will continue to support. It’s a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about service and see how easy it can be to make someone’s day,” explains Teacher Natasha Anderson.
“Another initiative we have successfully established here is with Cloverlea Primary School next door. We have access to the awesome new bike track and also pair up with a buddy class that our children absolutely enjoy reading with. These connections really help with transitions to school.”
Cloverlea Kindergarten has weekly playgroups open for new and current families with pre- schoolers to experience kindergarten and meet other whānau from the community.
