Foxton Kindergarten performed at the Kerekere Kapa Haka festival held at Manawatu College.
We travelled by bus. The bus was a highlight for the tamariki. The tamariki had worked really hard during all our practices and demonstrated wonderful confidence on stage. We were very proud of their wonderful waiata and poi.
Following the kapahaka preformance, we went to the park before returning to Kindergarten.
The tamariki had a wonderful time testing their physical skills as they explored the outdoor equipment at the park.
This excursion was a way to support the tamariki to make links with Te Ao Maori. We look forward to next years festival.
