Since the removal of the outdoor fort structure, there’s been a big change made to Bulls Kindergarten’s outdoor environment.
The children are excited to have a slide back, which descends from a roofed shelter on top of a hill, providing a platform for looking towards the neighbouring school grounds.
A new lazy river includes a pump that recycles water on a continuous basis. Trickling over a river bed, the water engages the children in natural science learning opportunities.
Steps, a bridge and gate, and grass areas to explore are complemented by a new garden. A mud kitchen comes complete with a real sink and taps to extend the children’s water play.
Fundraising for the upgrade has taken a few years and much support from community and committee who worked with Outer Life for the planning phase and Total Landscape solutions who brought the plans to life. The kindergarten was also fortunate to receive a generous $15,000 grant from JBS Dudding Trust.
