The doors were thrown wide open at Campbell Street Kindergarten on Saturday, 14 March, welcoming current and potential families to join in market day activities and learn more about the wonderful teaching and learning kindergarten offers.
Children enjoyed jumping on the bouncy castle, painting, reading, digging in the sandpit, looking at bugs under the microscope, and swinging and sliding as their parents explored the kindergarten environment and programme.
Campbell Street Kindergarten’s hard working committee had organised a raffle, with six prizes donated by local businesses, as well as a bake sale, book and toy sale and the kindergarten’s famous nail game where whānau compete to bang a nail in the fastest time.
The day was a great way to connect with the community, while raising almost $600 towards the cost of a new front fence. Campbell Street Kindergarten extends a huge thank you to everyone who supported the day.
